Lagim™ Card Game is highlighted in GMA News
The recently launched season of our very own Lagim Card game was featured in the GMA news. Lagim immerses players in the enthralling world of Filipino folklore, where they must fight mythological creatures and enchanted beings in order to protect their villages and preserve their souls.
Augusto Ayo has established a distinct and original brand, this time one that attempts to inspire and advance authentic Filipino substance, by leading a group of creatives under the Fiction Minds name. Lagim, a game based on Filipino legends and mythology, was developed in the early months of 2020 and is now gaining popularity.
Lagim stands out from other games in that it is often regarded as a work of art in and of itself, something you can appreciate even if you aren’t playing it. Lagim’s design is a wonderful blend of gothic, antique, and Filipino handicraft elements. The exquisite craftsmanship of the game’s cards and parts, such as the Soul and Dark Soul coins, display ethnic images and symbolism found in local folklore, and are reminiscent of the traditions and history that sparked it.
By integrating colorful narratives and basic constant participation, the game aims to break down any barriers between Filipinos’ ages. As the game is enjoyed with family and friends, Lagim wishes to share the uniqueness of Filipino culture.
The Lagim card game set is currently available in the Philippines and is now available on Kickstarter as well as for international delivery.
