On the evening of December 7, 2024, Fully Booked BGC transformed into a haven of Filipino folklore, mysticism, and artistic wonder as we hosted Takipsilim: A Lagim & Sinagtala Showcase. The event brought together artists, writers, and enthusiasts to celebrate the dark yet enchanting beauty of local myths and traditions through immersive exhibits and engaging activities.
A Gallery of Shadows and Stories
At the heart of Takipsilim was an elegantly curated gallery showroom exhibit, featuring the intricately illustrated Lagim cards and the newly launched Sinagtala tarot cards. Guests explored the eerie yet captivating artworks, each card telling a story steeped in Philippine myth and legend. The dim lighting and atmospheric setup created an immersive experience, drawing attendees deeper into the realm of the unknown.
The Magic of Tarot with Inscious Pinea
One of the event’s highlights was the free Tarot reading session by the gifted Inscious Pinea. Attendees eagerly lined up for a glimpse into their fate, guided by the wisdom of the Sinagtala tarot deck. Each reading provided moments of reflection, insight, and wonder, making the experience truly memorable for many.

Takipsilim was honored to have Jean Karl Gaverza (author of Philippine Spirits), Karl De Mesa, and Vida Cruz Borja attend the event and promote their works. Their presence added to the celebration of Filipino folklore, allowing guests to explore their literary contributions to the genre.
The Grand Launch of Sinagtala Tarot Cards
A major milestone of the night was the official launch of the Sinagtala tarot cards in the Philippines. After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the deck finally made its grand debut, marking an exciting new chapter for Filipino tarot enthusiasts. Seeing the deck come to life and into the hands of eager supporters was a moment of triumph and gratitude for the entire team behind the project.
